History

Our district was founded in 1991 by Rev. Dr. O. Everett Piper and Rev. Aaron Richardson during the Sunday School Congress of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America. These two visionaries shared a divine vision to see the foundation of a "District" composed of local churches. This District will combine churches not based on the size of its membership, but a "District of Inclusion," not exclusion. Why...because the principle of inclusion had too long been absent from the associational work as we know it in the Baptist tradition.
